PRE VS POST TRAINING - the role of carbs

Not all carbs are used the same way.


The same food can support performance or recovery depending on how its structured.

Before training, carbs are used to provide quick, accessible energy to support energy output.


After training, that same food becomes part of a more complete meal, helping to:

  • replenish glycogen stores

  • support muscle repair

  • imrpove recovery


This is whycontext matters in nutrition around your training.

It's not about labelling foods as good or bad, but understanding when and how to use them based on your training demand.


If you are training regularly, how you structure your intake around your sessions can directly influence your performance, recovery and overall results.
